Yaba: the real district behind the game
Lagos Life recreates a real city — and Yaba is one of the real places its map, housing and hangouts are drawn from. Here is both halves: the district as it actually is, and what it does in the game.
Yaba in real Lagos
A mainland suburb packed with federal institutions — Queen’s College, YabaTech, the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research and the University of Lagos all sit in the Yaba/Akoka corridor. Real Yaba is also "Yabacon Valley", Nigeria’s tech-hustle heart.
Yaba in Lagos Life
The game’s classic first upgrade — the Yaba self-contain — plus UNILAG’s student track, CcHub’s tech energy and Jibowu’s crossroads energy all live here.
